There are many voices in our lives trying to give insight on how to save ourselves from our own personal hells on earth. Our parents, teachers, bosses, church, TV, Oprah: so many different voices telling us how to find heaven on earth. Yes, we believe in Jesus but we count on him more to save us from Hell after earth.

But when the Gospel collides with our lives we come face to face with the reality that belief in Jesus here and now is what brings ultimate and complete joy. No matter what functional heavens the world or religion promise us, it's Jesus alone that can deliver true life abundantly.
