Angel Tree is a prison ministry program that provides gifts to children of incarcerated parents or guardians. All prisoners who participate are vetted carefully through the Angel Tree program for safety and security. Mountain Park volunteers will only communicate with the legal caregivers of the child(ren).  Our goal this year is to sponsor 150 kids.

We have 4 components which we need volunteers for: 

MAKING CALLS to the caregivers of the children to confirm the relationship, agreeing to allow the children to be a part of the program, confirm address and other items. We will provide a script for you. 

MANAGING THE MPC TABLE on Sunday mornings to hand out Angel Tree cards and collect returned gift donations. Angel Tree tables will be out for 4 weeks beginning the 3rd week of November. 

MANAGING AND ARRANGING GIFTS for families. It generally happens that different people sponsor kids in the same family and gifts are returned at different times. Therefore, they need to be arranged and organized. 

Finally, GIFT DELIVERY. When delivering gifts, our policy is that volunteers partner with another volunteer or a family member to have at least 2 or more people deliver the gift(s) within the pre-coordinated time of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
